Since 2007, 5Point Film Festival has been the defining gathering for adventure and outdoor cinema. Heading into their 17th year, the organization approached us to elevate their brand identity.
Problem After 17 years, the annual festival had outgrown its brand, website, and event experience. They needed a scalable system that could keep pace with their audience and adapt to the themes of each festival.
Solution To capture the Festival’s adventuring spirit and Colorado roots we built a brand built on motion and movement. The identity was fully reimagined across digital and event experiences to bring new storytelling potential to the community.




STRATEGY We built a brand with the flexibility to carry the full range of programs, films, education series, events, merch, and more while anchoring every touchpoint to the Festival’s mission of telling outdoors stories.



BRAND SYSTEM The Festival brand was built to frame the impact of the films and stories and never overpower them. We crafted a brand that reflected the character of Carbondale and the adventurous nature of the films and their creators.






DESIGN SYSTEM A bold flexible design system allowed each film, event, series, and showcase to attract the attention it deserved. Bold typography, warm inviting color, and a motion system that drew influence from film gave the Festival the tools it needed to make an impact across digital, print, and event touchpoints.












5Point Film Festival is the premier annual gathering for storytelling and film in adventure and outdoor cinema. Held in Carbondale, Colorado since 2007, the Festival features 3 days of films, classes, workshops, symposiums, and music.
We redesigned the brand identity, website, event experience, and marketing heading into the festival’s 17th year. The system and sub-brand launched in 2024 as the Festival expanded its programming and activations to other cities.
We partnered with local artists to build out merchandise and event experiences unique to the local Colorado community. We also developed trailers and an expansive motion system to help the brand translate digitally.
